DescriptionGambit #3 issued featured likenesses of the Wachowskis (The Matrix trilogy Directors) as the Mengo Brothers, thugs for hire working for The Pig. This is the interior page that they first show up upon within the book. They are on the cover so I would consider that the true first appearance of the characters.Steve Skroce who penciled the book had worked for the Wachowskis. He created storyboards for The Matrix so he based the Mengo Brothers on the Wachowskis. While they aren't major characters in the Marvel Universe it is cool to have the part of its history in my collection. Social/Sharing |
