I've never played the Nier Automata video game, but loved the character design. I assumed Matteo would exceed my expectations when I requested a commission of 2B and I couldn't be happier. I think Matteo is doing some of the most exciting work in comics right now.

How Scalera handles character and background does resemble the kind of game animation where there is high definition sharpness for the main character and a soften haze for things in the far distance.

Yeah this was an excellent choice and one of the best from the bunch - and they were all bangers. Mine should be arriving today :)
