Description

One of the great Italian/European masters was present at Lake Como Comic Art Festival 2022: Paolo Serpieri. He was quite high up my list, knowing how rare his appearances and sketches are - considering his age.

Per the European tradition, he did free drawings if you bought a book and he definitely took his time to do these. Every stroke on the page was placed very meticuluously and it resulted in this beautiful rendition of his own sensual character Druuna, done in his "Eros" art book.

I'm very honored to have a piece by his, with Serpieri often being an inspiration to a lot of American comic book artists, like Frank Cho.
