Tim Sale passed away today. His talent was incredible, and Paul Levitz once mentioned that Christian Bale looked at Tim Sale art when filming the Batman trilogy.

But what might not be talked about enough is how great a guy Tim was. He was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Talent and a great person. What a combination. He'll be missed as an artist and as a person.

I wanted to post this Daredevil Father page because it's so fantastic, and it's the page before Matt's father "Battling Jack Murdock" with the joy of Jack seeing Matt. The emotion on this page is fantastic. Daredevil: Yellow fleshes out the early days of the Man Without Fear, and it wouldn't be this good without Tim (and Jeph)!

Godspeed Tim. The world was blessed to have had you in it.

What a sad day today was with another Legend gone too soon. Tim's art is so distinctive and unique. There won't be another like him.

Rest in Peace Tim Sale.

This page is storytelling perfection. The framing, the use of light and dark to set mood. The pull in on the last handoff between father and son. Sheer perfection.

This is Tim Sale when he was in lock step with Loeb into making the some of their classic miniseries that are meant to be timeless and evergreen.
