9.75x30" artboard w/India ink original art by Mutt And Jeff creator Bud Fisher (1885-1954). Art is for June 11, 1923 strip No. 234 and features five panels, w/cleanshaven Jeff bemoaning the loss of his whiskers to recent prank by Mutt. Third panel features an appearance by none other than Bud Fisher himself (seen from the back), whom Jeff convinces to draw his whiskers again in time for last panel, much to Mutt's shock. Jeff appears in four panels, Mutt appears in last panel, which Fisher has signed (third panel has pasted Fisher signature stat). Third panel has copyright strip. Top margin has penciled caption. Back has two inkstamps from art gallery and scattered staining. Top and bottom margins have scattered pin holes, w/bottom margin pin holes within panels, but not affecting art. Lower left corner has chip and artboard has some lt. scattered soiling. Fine overall.
