DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!16-5/8x18-1/8" artboard has pen and ink original art for June 8, 1950 Sunday by Charles "Doc" Winner (1885-1956), who took over writing/art duties from Harold Knerr upon Knerr's death in 1949. Sunday page features 10 panels (including stat title paste-over panel) and shows Hans and Fritz turning the tables on snooty brat Rollo for their friend Lena, w/help from a band of wild animals. This marks a nice change for The Katzenjammers, best known for their earlier habits of destructive mischief. Winner has signed last panel. KFS copyright strip at lower left. Margins have some penciling and printer registration labels (missing one at lower right). Back has printer inkstamp. Some scattered dust soiling to three rightmost panels, but o/w VF.
