Luke Ross and Al Milgrom brought both fresh action and a classic finish to the post Clone Saga era. Columbia/Sony was on the verge of making a deal to have sole rights to make Spider-Man movies back in 1998-1999, so seeing this with Spidey and Goblin can only make you think of that time before the first Raimi film when a Spider-Man movie was inconceivable.
