Always liked the shaking hands version better than the punch-out version. :) Congrats!

A historic passing of the torch page as Dick Grayson exits his role as Robin and Jason Todd enters it. Dick Grayson has yet to create the identity of Nightwing and does not yet have his plan for the future as he heads out. I love the dialog, "So long Robin. Be great." That's pretty much what this page is all about. Jason Todd is now Robin, but is still trying to come to terms with hide new identity. The beginning of a new era for Bruce, Dick, and Jason. The Newton art is also great inside the bat cave. Well done Halbert!

"So long, Robin..." There couldn't be more prophetic words. Just so weird looking at this historic page and not think about what's coming.

Very cool that the editors coordinated this major change in that rare period in Dick Grayson's life between NTT 39-44. A classic must have Batman book that Newton and Alcala put forth to be a lasting moment of history.

The future seemed so bright for Jason Todd as Robin at this time, and Newton did a wonderful job with the passing of the torch. A stellar page from top to bottom.

Wow - what a classic page, and using the Batcave as the Batdrop (er, backdrop) is awesome (but, really - could this scene take place anywhere else?)! Fantastic staging and composition here, with the shadows and lighting on those last three panels carrying the tone of the action just perfectly. I just can't get over the beautiful inks here; the real Dynamic Duo on this page is Newton and Alcala. Another awesome pick up, Hal - congrats!

The King is dead, long live the King! In this case, the "King" is Robin, and what a fantastic passing of the torch with some wise, philosophical words from Batman. Love the backgrounds in panels 1 and 5 too.
