DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!10x14.5" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish Comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for Cisco Kid #20, which reprints various 1950s Cisco Kid daily strips by Jose Luis Salinas. Published in Spain ©1981 Ediciones Vertice, ©KFS. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/art showing the Cisco Kid diving out of a fire with rifle firing. Back of artboard has handwritten "Cisco Kid 12" at top in pencil. Art remains bright and clean. Displays VF. A wonderful example from the era when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish comic books, featuring one of the Wild West's popular characters and is unsigned by artist. Superb and dynamic cover art.
