DescriptionGot this from WONDERFUL commission from through Superani America last year. I had been wanting a great Kim Jung Gi piece for quite a while. I'd seen a few here and there for sale, but the pieces of his that speak to me most is when he just goes free hand nuts. So, when I saw that the man himself was opening a commission list I couldn't respond fast enough. The request for this particular commission was.. "I love the man's work I'd just like him to do what he does best and go nuts."Go nuts he did! I just love looking at this piece every day. I currently have it framed and hanging in the main hallway of my house. Just outside my bedroom door. There's so much quintessential KJG in this piece! I love when he uses animals as characters along side people. There's just so many little details lovingly rendered that you find new things to fixate on every time you stare into it. Big thanks to Maestro Kim! and to Superani for making this piece possible. On a side note: If anyone has been wondering how to get a picture of Art - in - Frame to be glare free. Only have lights to the side, and just a little forward of the piece. Then you won't get those pesky glares bouncing from the glass to the camera. Social/Sharing |

He probably went into a trance of creativity and did this like those amazing pieces where he goes from one end to the other without stopping.

This is an oustanding KJG example! I really enjoyed seeing it in person, as you know. How does he come up with such a strong composition with 1000s of elements, all beautifully drawn, and compelling movement in every square inch of the image, without any preparation or reference?! The man is a genius (you heard it here first)

So freaking cool and folks it's even better IRL! Dynamic AF with beautiful inking and soothing wash. It's like Jack Davis took LSD and watched a kung fu movie.

My favorite is the little mouse in the center. Super cute. But the whole piece is a stunner! Huge congrats!

The elements are rich and colorful, the pictures are full of tension, and the imagination is full. The most important thing is the creative process, which is really wonderful£¡
It makes me want to own my own collection¡«
