Inspired by the irreverent work of the various satiric "Mad" and "Punch" cartoonists, as well as 1950s sci-fi monster films, his cartoons and prose fiction appeared regularly in Playboy, Collier's and The New Yorker for almost 50 years. Offered here is an pen and ink original art for cartoon w/nicely done watercoloring on 8.5x11.25" artboard showing deceased Pope-like figure in a glorious viewing display w/angel images on top. Art is for an unknown publication and features penciled printer notations on edges and reverse. Signed boldly at bottom. Artboard has lt. aging/wear. Art is clean and Exc. Social/Sharing |
