Description

I don't believe hyperbole to refer to the Akira manga as an epic. Much like Tetsuo on his thrown, it remains firmly on its own and is both a reference for the upper echelon's of what can be done in the medium and almost an unattainable goal of anything after reaching parity.

it's special to own a little piece of its history, Steve Ollif took on the daunting task of coloring this mammoth for its first English release (Through Marvel's Epic imprint) I think it went pretty well!

Ollif colors over high quality reproductions of Otomo pencils.

Oliff had to add nuance in the edifices and the streets that fit into the world Otomo created. It remains as a seminal work and this colorization was vital to bring the story to the US audience.
