DescriptionDave Gibbons The Brave and the Bold #200 Story Page 25 Original Art (DC, 1983). An incredible transformation page of Bruce Wayne (leaving his date) to change into Batman as the Bat-Signal beckons him, in "Hell on Earth" for Part 5 of "Smell of Brimstone, Stench of Death". This was the last issue of this series' 28-year run. This joins the last page of the story to bookend it in my collection.Social/Sharing |

Pretty neat to have Gibbons on the last issue. This definitely has the Watchmen era style in the top panels as well as the buildings. The Batman figure may be too bold for the Owl to ever emulate.

There's so, so much to love about this page. But I certainly love seeing the Reagan 80s Bruce Wayne livin' the lifestyle of the rich and famous!
