Description

So, The Beyonder… arguably the most powerful character in Marvel, period. I have to admit I didn’t love the retcon of him by Bendis but the story did produce this spread which has become incredibly iconic. In fact, it’s probably the most used image of The Beyonder on the internet. The combined image is just loaded with detail and the moment in the story is particularly great. It really gives me this Willy Wonka singing “Pure Imagination” vibe, where he essentially says to the Illuminati he can make anything they dream of reality. It’s just a fun moment I am really happy is part of my collection.

Congrats on a wonderfully drawn spread from Cheung! Love all the little details in the main panel and all the excited expressions and pacing in the bottom panels.

Thank you! I thought Cheung did a wonderful job relaying the childlike excitement The Beyonder has in these panels. He's essentially a kid building castles in a sandbox.
