Description

I never really understood the need for superheroes to beat each other up whenever they had a team-up. I spent a good deal of time reading war comics before I started reading superhero comics, and you never saw Sgt. Rock and Millie Marie beating up the crew of the Haunted Tank when they crossed paths.

In recent years I�ve commissioned artists to do peaceable meetings of characters. I�ve had a semi-running thing of having characters to be eating or drinking together; this may have been subconsciously inspired in part by a What The.? issue where Aquaman and Sub-Mariner sitting around drinking tea while a battle raged around them.

Huh. That thought makes Andrea�s choice of tea cups ironic, as he did not know that when I commissioned him.
