Original cover art for The Fetish Murders by Avon Curry Ace Books 23350 1973.
This is probably not everyone's cup of tea subject matter-wise, but of all the art I own, this cover is one of my favorites and amazing to see in person. Lombardero probably used an airbrush with just bursts of air on paint drops to make each and every "splat" you see in the background. It's fairly large so must have taken him a lot of time to create. And you can't tell here but it's super glossy.
