Description

Greg Land has always been an interesting artist. His early sequentail work showed a lot of promise and I have always been fond of his pin-up style artistry, but - more recently - he has become known for relying heavily on reference material here and there.

I knew I wanted a piece by this legend in his own right, but I wanted it to match with his complete career. That's why I asked him to create a tribute to an 80s Joe Jusko Marvel poster with Black Cat (see the added image).

Interestingly enough, Greg didn't go the easy route at all. He could have created a swipe in his own style, but Greg chose to focus more on his figure work & strengths.

With the briefcase, the background, and even the Spidey reference, it's still a clear homage - yet distinctly Greg's take.

Very happy with the result and excited to finally own an elaborate pin-up by Greg. Size is 11x17.
