Boy o boy am I excited.

I'll make this first one easy and friendly. Here is the family. Surely nothing nightmareish could come from these adorable bundles of joy! Watch Episode 5 with your kids!

So, what do you need to know to watch the Sandman on Netflix this Friday? Not much! The story starts at the very beginning! Seasoned readers will likely find a rich tribute to original source material with more easter eggs than at Jesus' wake. Newcomers will be introduced to a rich and complex world of Destiny, Death, Dream, Desire, Despair, Delirium, and one lost friend as well.

I thought this was an interesting commission to post today as I watched a show on ye olde internet last night in which panelists debated and discussed the various merits and pitfalls of commissions. This commission is an exception to me for a couple reasons.

1. I asked the artist to loosely recreate an image that they originally doodled digitally. I don't think I've done that before.

2. This particular piece took some patience, reminding, and cajoling.

The artist also created a color print, which is nice, and adds the Logo too.

He has a really fun style. Reminds me somewhat of Skottie Young's work. Some patience and cajoling is very common in the commissioning game, though, and still better than feeling the need to threaten to strangle him as I would've felt compelled to do. 😃
