Even with all of the King's bold and powerful emotion, Everett finds the most eloquent line where it is needed to elicit even more empathy from the audience.

The King! Everett on the King! Wonderful page. The close-up in the third panel is compelling- that arrogant, entitled face crowded in the panels to emphasise the menace he poses. I remember picking up a poor condition copy of that issue as a teenager, needing deparately to buy it, despite the cover being detached, because of the staggering quality of the artwork. Brilliant!
