The custom mat works for a Bachalo page that goes edge to edge because he worked with a lot of patterns and layouts to distinguish this series from the rest of the X-Men books. This was the most cutting edge art of the X-books at the time since Bachalo mixed many influences.

Love it! Generation X always brings me back to my childhood. I will always remember picking up that super shiny issue 1 from the magazine stand at the BX. Ironically, I'm a millenial, haha
