Description

One of my favorite minis of all time is the Machine Man mini. Could not have been more happy than to stumble on this page from Marvel Two-in-One that set up much of the drama of that story. In issues 92 and 93, Machine Man and Jocasta meet and fall in love.

This scene shows Gears, Machine Man, and Jocasta cooking up a way to track down Ultron who roughed our two heroes up pretty badly in 92. DeFalco took the dynamic set up at the end of this issue and used it as the basis for his Machine Man series that came out a couple of years later and was set 40 years in the future.

Bought this great piece from Mike Burkey at CAF/CAL meet up in Columbus in 2022.

Issue credits D.Hands (Diverse Hands) as the inker, thus explaining why Jim Mooney signed this page. The inking does have some old school looks so Roussos or Mooney could have played a role.
