Description1977 - wow what a year. in X-Men land, when #106 came out, the 'new X-Men' were only 10 issues 'old' so we were still getting used to this big change in X-land.Here are are on page 3: The new X-Men are working out in the Danger Room. Panel 1: Wolverine is dodging some lasers and doesn't see a giant metal girder about to fall on him. Colossus yells (word balloon missing) "Wolverine Look out above you!" Panel 2: Wolvie doesn't here, Peter has to act fast and has no time to be gentle. Panel 3: Whou-U-UFF! He smacks Wolvie out of the way (always a good idea) Panel 4: The girder falls on Colossus, KER-WRAM! causing Colossus to go "UNHHH!" on the page, but the printed page has UNNNGHH! (interesting - would have loved to hear that convo). I hope you enjoyed this little slice of time travel back to 1977 with me. Color scan in alt images. Social/Sharing |

Great Colossus shots! Doesn't hurt to have Wolvie in the panels too!

That is a 1977 Baryshnikov move by Wolverine in the first panel. So graceful and theatrical of a kick! Like Brown was drawing a production of Swan Lake Danger Room with the I beam as a dance partner for the both.

Had to check in for my daily dosage and glad I did. Some gorgeous bronze age xmen goodness. Add me in to the list of fans of that 2nd panel. Another killer addition. Thanks for sharing and.looking forward to my next fix. Congrats

Both halves of the Fastball Special going at it, nothing but pure respect between these, not to mention for classic 70s X-Art!
