DescriptionBoy oh boy was my family upset with me yesterday. "What are you listening to all day?!?!"Well, family, I was engrossed in an absolutely lovely online con that Ken Carson and the team at 4C had going over on their YouTube channel. Great artists, wonderful guests, and good conversation. I'll admit that the Brian Bolland interview was the big draw, but it was Sergio Aragones who stole my heart. What an amazing person! Oh, and Stan Sakai was there too. Just saying. Luckily for you, the festivities continue today, and you can check them out here. There were some fantastic younger artists as well, including Ariel Diaz, Naoto Tsushima, and a blush-proof young man by the name of Eranga Devasurendra. I thought I'd commemorate and boost the moment by sharing a piece I just got in from Eranga. I'd say it's one of his best, but this guy just keeps leveling up, and the Spidey vs Doc Ock that he just did for the OG Tyler T is also pretty spectacular. I love it. Original Laila Starr art is difficult to get, and getting this beauty takes a lot of the sting out. The color work is spot on, the perspective ambitious, and the feet visible. Thanks Eranga - You get my fetish. I'm proud to call you a close distant acquaintance. Finally, a note of condolence - writer of Laila Starr, Ram V, lost his father eralier today. I can only hope he had a chance to appreciate this wonderful book. Social/Sharing |

The colored arms and bg are a nice contrast to the B/W figure. Results are spectacular.

Yeah, but think of all the extra comments he could leave if he had two extra sets of hands like the comic art diety that he is.

What? I take the time to compliment your art and you complain? Will you attack me on a message board now? What kind of bitter life do you live?

The color really makes it pop, nice pick up. I just recently got around to reading this and to say it moved me would be an understatement. A beautiful story and the art is stunning. Congrats again!

Thank you so much for recommending me this book to read. I really enjoyed the mini-series. And wow, Eranga magic baby!!! The serial killer strikes again!

While Eranga is able to produce artwork in various different styles, one thing that all of his pieces have in common is that they're amazing. This piece continues Eranga's upwards trajectory in the art world.

That blue and pink make for a nice contrast while still complimenting. Multiple arms work to great effect, and the diagonal orientation AND upward perspective?! Eranda doin' his thang for sure. Congrats!
