Definitely shocking and made you pick up the book to flip through it right away! Terry Austin made this scene look even more convincing!

Great cover for a series that had a lot more substance than I remember after revisiting. Fantastic art and a wonderful cover full of nostalgia. Congrats!

Excellent pick-up! This was an awesome series that holds up really well and is worth re-reading; Claremont's take on the family dynamics between the two teams was so good. And in my opinion, Jon Bognadove's pencils plus Terry Austin's ink were a highpoint for JB--gorgeous artwork, as evidenced by this killer cover. Huge congrats!

Wonderful pick-up! Love the full figure drawing of Wolverine standing helplessly beside the fallen bodies of the Fantastic Four while the evil Dr. Doom gloats in the background. Great pencils by Jon Bogdanove and awesome inks by Terry Austin. Superb score!

So, you saw this before you found out that comic book companies tell porkies to sell comics...I enjoyed the series and the artwork and was old enough to know a Marvel fib when I saw this at the time.
