This was a grail for me. This was the first time I truly appreciate art outside the "Image" standard. I read this book until it absolutely fell apart and then bought it again. WOO HOO!

Beautiful work in that late 80's Mignola style where he was at the apex of his original style and with hints of what he would begin to take his artwork. Claws out against Apocalypse at the start of the climactic battle of the story!

I think the part I like most from your comments, other than detailing how much the page means to you, is your story about loving the comic book so much that you read it to pieces! That's awesome. I am way too ginger and 'precious' with my comics that I would never have even imagined reading something until it fell apart, but I totally love that idea.
