Description

You know you've got a good page when, after you agree to buy it, the artist makes a sad face, loathe to lose art into which he poured himself. Belanger spent five days on this DPS.

'Southern Cross' was a sci-fi ghost story written by Becky Cloonan. Here, an alien spirit in the form of a woman (bottom right) lures a spaceman to his doom. Along the way he passes a montage representing his own past sins. The layout, which directs the reader on a serpentine path, was inspired by platform-style video games of yesteryear. I suppose his princess is in another castle.
