Description

Well, this was a bit of a grail for me. I loved this image from the first time I saw it reading Immortal Hulk. It represents everything we all love from that story: a massive Hulk, Joe Bennett's amazing pencils, and the body horror (but in a way that still reads as Hulk). I missed out on purchasing it initially and then saw it was for sale here on CAF. A few days before I was going to message the seller it got thrown up on eBay with the preceding page as a lot. I had just made another big comic art purchase and was hoping to wait on this one, but fate had other plans and I couldn't let it get away again. I'm absolutely thrilled to have it in my collection now. Thanks to fellow CAF member for Cristian Casares for making it a smooth purchase and giving this beauty up.

Hulk is tearing himself apart as if to no longer wanting his dual identity and done to expel Banner for good.

I'm sure I'll be corrected but this has to be a first where Hulk and this level of body-horror has been combined (outside of the zombie genre). Joe Bennett executed this perfectly. Congrats on winning this auction!
