There're moments in live that's thing looks like they are meant to be. A few year ago, I have the change to meet the person how co-create one of the most memorable characters from my childhood Kevin Eastman. I pledge for a kickstarter campaign and the reward included a full day with Kevin. We talk about comics all day long, from Kirby to Miller, all day sharing our favorite stories. After that, we keep in touch. When the Last Ronin hit the stores and was an instant hit, I was aware that the artists were Mexicans, but little I know about what happen with the art; until a saw Kevin's wife Courtney tell the stories about how people without decency take advantage of the Bros who doesn't have the slightest idea of the value of what they created with Kevin and the rest of the team. I put in contact with them and with the blessing of Kevin I became the manager of the Escorza Bros. 13 Pages of issue of the Last Ronin were sold between a group of hustlers for ridiculous prices before I start to sell the art in their behalf. So in order to correct that situation I took the remaining art and start selling it as far and as better as I could. Part of my twisted ethic don't allow me to take anything from me, even several times I was tempted to. So one the first pieces I sell was the now Iconic cover of Issue #1. I sold it to a very good friend of mine for really good money. After issue five I look at my CAF I realice that I don't keep anything for me, even Kevin suggest numerous times that I should keep key moments of the series. So few months past an exchange of messages between the first owner and I, we did a partial trade and I recover what in my opinion is one of most Iconic covers of the last few year. As Albert Moy always says collect the great histories. Bros now are highly respected comic book artists and their names are going to be linked with the Turtles forever and maybe somebody remember mine too!!!

An amazing story. Congratulations on getting the art back. The Last Ronin is definitely a memorable fresh take on such an iconic character from the 80's. Hoping for a film version of the comic series one day.

That's a cool story, Alberto! The art is a beautiful piece. I'll have to read this run. It will be my first Turtles grab in years!

Great book and great art! They definitely deserve the success by creating one of the most significant additions to the TMNT lore in a long time.

Iconic piece that will stand the test of time, but even better is the fact that you saw the true value of the art and helped out the Escorza Brothers.
