Description

An unexpected and touching moment from the series. Crime drama where our point-of-view characters are the criminals rather than the people pursuing them always comes back to narcissism; the criminal will inevitably make decisions to benefit themselves regardless of the consequences to others. The Sopranos layed this concept out before the audience but also left room for dissection. Criminals are still people and things can pierce that sociopathy. The protection of certain family or friends, but most noticeably in Tony, interactions with animals. Dan Dougherty knows The Sopranos backwards and forwards so it was easy to commission him for a piece from the show, and man, he put all the love into this. It’s beautiful and I’m thrilled to have it. Dan is an artist to follow for all of you who don’t yet and all his commissions recently have been just exceptional!
