That's looks very impressive when you pull back and see all the textures Derington achieves by all those rough lines when viewed up close. It definitely has the mood correct.

Really stunning piece, Don. Nick's colored pencils once again add such richness to the image, but the depth here comes from all the texture he added via his harsh (and gorgeous) pencil hatches (just as Marcus said). It makes me think of what Frank Cho is able to accomplish in his ballpoint pen drawings; a really novel approach that yields striking and beautiful results. Love Batman's right hand "claw"! Great piece, Don - congrats!
