DescriptionMike Del Mundo is one of my favorite working artist. I'm a big fan of his energetic style, strong design skills, and creativity when it comes to making a piece pull you in while feeling unique.He almost never sketches at shows. He hasn't taken a commission list in over a decade and he works primarily digitally. I feel lucky to have picked up this piece from Mike at NYCC this year. I believe he did four "head sketches" at the con (more on his Instagram HERE). I knew Mike is a hip hop lover so this felt like the perfect piece to request. Many thanks to him for taking the time to draw this and for the extra flair with the pop of red. Big thanks to Mike for taking the time to chat and catch up since the last time I saw him, which was 2013! Social/Sharing |

I've enjoyed Del Mundo's covers for years. I knew he was a digital artist, but wasn't aware that he hadn't been doing commissions for so many years. In light of that, this is a huge score!

He did do a beautiful painted Galactus piece in 2020 to raise money for comic shops that couldn't be open at the time, but other than that he's done some quick sketches at cons and a small amount of head sketch commissions. I don't normally commission head sketches but I couldn't pass this one up.

Rad! I was lucky enough to see this one in person. Tough to get anything from Mike as he works almost exclusively digital, and he really poured a lot into the pencils here. I also know he's one of your favorite artists, so congrats, man!
