12x16" Bainbridge artboard has attached sheet of Me-Teintes drawing paper w/11" tall image of Stan Lee himself that was used as the main image for Marvel Age #41, August 1986. This is the only hand drawn elemant done for the cover. Multi-media, ink wash w/pencils in black and white. Includes copy of the reference photo used to create the art. Fully illustrated by Janet Jackson. The rest of the cover would have been clip art stats of various Marvel character images and logo combined to create a mechanical for printing. Back of art has original handcut amberlith mask w/a couple creases. Art has some minimal ripples from painting on paper. Masking tape around borders. Overall art is Exc. Photograph quality rendering of the man himself. You can hear him exclaiming his trademark "Excelsior!".
