Description

Arguably THE masterwork of brothers Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba, Daytripper ranks among my favorite comic series published during the 2010s. It's a beautiful and nuanced commentary on how our lives are ultimately shaped by the interplay between our actions and those of the people around us. Each issue chronicles a specific period in the life (and subsequent death) of the main character, Bras, variably reflecting on topics including the nature of love, family, friendship, fame, parenthood, aging and, of course, dying.

All of this is to say that when I was presented with the opportunity to get a commission from Fabio Moon this year, the choice of subject matter was a no brainer. I love how he fills the drawing with little references and nods to different episodes from the series, which those who have read it will no doubt recognize.

Congrats on an awesome commission! Daytripper is one of my favorite books, and I've been trying to get a similar for commission for years. It's pretty cool that he added little references to all the different issues.
