DescriptionI bought the entire OA for this book from Adam and Jason (Essential Sequential) earlier last year. One of my favorite stories from the nineties, tremendous action throughout the book. I asked Adam why he did pencils only on this cover and had no inker on it, he told me he wanted all of his detail on this beauty to come through, he didn't want his tight pencils to get lost in the inks. The Wolvie vs Sabretooth vertical battle sequence on the Wolverine side of the cover is a separate pen and ink that lays over the original double cover. The original pencils were published for The Hunt for Wolverine #1 as a variant. I'm speechless! This is one of my favorite stories from the 90's. No one draws Wolverine better than Adam Kubert. Congratulations on owning a piece of comics history.

Quintessential 90's cover! The showdown of showdowns a decade plus in the making with a definitive victor! Really cool that this exists as pencil art as there is no denying this is the base from all which followed.

One of the top books of the early Marvel 90s. Kubert was at the top of his game and this is arguably the best Wolverine book he has ever done. Huge congrats!

Really awesome cover piece, Kubert's Wolverine is one of the best, really loved his original run. This featuring Sabretooth in his face is really great, huge congrats on this beauty!

Wow, you're right, these pencils are incredible and don't need any inks. I had always thought this was a Keown for that reason.
