Description

The AXE is a 6-part storyline that appeared in Heavy Metal throughout 2022. Written by comedian Brian Posehn and Joe Trohman, the guitarist for Fallout Boy and The Damned Things, and drawn by Scott Koblish (me), it wasmy first foray into Horror and Adult-themed artwork! The pages are all hand-drawn in India ink on 2-ply Bristol board with an art area of 10” x 13.5” (magazine dimensions). I have an auction of all of the original comic artwork from the Axe coming up at Heritage Auctions during the November 17 - 18, 2022 Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction.
