Handsome piece! Aquaman in this format is getting the bright color highlights to make him more heroic and bold.

You've hit the nail on the head, as always. When Chris McJunkin emailed me the image of the art, I wrote to him: I like everything about it -- the colors, the detail in the scalloped tunic, and most of all the strong, friendly, classic good-guy image of the hero!
