Description

"Just Passing Through"

Superman's just passing through...This page has a nice forced perspective panel of Superman and Nightwing dropping down on the crowd. This part of the comic harkens back to the very first Action Comics of Superman sticking up for the common person during the Depression, fighting not only crime but also injustice and corruption.

The published page matches the coloring suggestions in the bottom and right margins of the page, presumably from Scott or Karl. In the forced perspective panel, the tone of everyone's clothing is changed to reflect the diminishing sunlight of dusk approaching.

It's great that McDaniel frames the last panel with the circular lens like a camera shot.  I think the lighting is to reflect the sunset colors to move the story forth into the night time.

Good catch Marcus! I should have noticed that. Thank you! I've edited the description to remove the error.
