Description

Ego Sum (2 volumes released between 2004 and 2005) is the first work entirely done by Simone and, to my knowledge, still the only one by him with fully painted interior pages. And they're huge!
This is page 28 from vol. 2 and it's a real feast for the eyes!

The scenes are sumptuous under the mesmerizing linework and rich and lavish feel of the paints. In the tradition of the Itlaian masters of the past, the artwork brings a story of fantasy and how it relates to our humanity.

I love the exquisite blend between fantasy and sci-fi of "Ego Sum" and the palette used by Simone for this piece. Congrats Davide for this great purchase.

I do love the palette and style, but the little details always draw me into his work. The way he puts breaks on the panels here and there to support an image, or poking a head slightly out of a panel for composition's sake. It takes his work to another level, like here. I dig this Ego Sum page! A beauty
