DescriptionThis is from the Spider-Man animated series of the early 1990s. Neal Adams was selling these out of his personal collection and they went at two different times to two different places; I got the handpainted final version from Neal directly (special thank you to Rich Cirillo) and the black and white line work had luckily made its way to a dealer rather than disappearing immediately to private collectors.Toy Biz really bridges the gap between my own childhood and my son's, as most of these figures were what I bought at KayBee for my kid when he was a toddler. After the Secret Wars line ended, we didn't have Marvel figures in the 1980s so it was cool to see Toy Biz bring them back a few years later. Social/Sharing |

Framed with the toy! That's awesome! I still have this figure somewhere.

Thanks, buddy! I frame all my own stuff and it's a nice source of enjoyment in the hobby for me. It was a memorable toy line for sure.

Such a cool piece and looks so good framed up!
Thanks, George! It is probably my favorite frame job and I am still pumped to have found both pieces to pair them up.

Whenever I see a Venom action figure, I can only think of the voice activated "I want to eat your brain!" comments!

Haha I love that figure and it's crazy to think that was enough to get the toy removed from shelves. Also, I would love to find the OA to one of those earlier Toy Biz cardbacks
