Greg Capullo isn�t exactly known as a Lex Luthor artist. In fact, there are only a handful of pages out there from Greg that feature the Man of Steel�s arch enemy. So when his inker, Jonathan Glapion, offered a 30% off sale Cyber Monday sale last year, as well as a very helpful payment plan option, I had to add this Death Metal page to the ColLEXion. A full page head shot of Lex, his face disfigured after being attacked by Perpetua, inside the abandoned Hall of Doom, planning his revenge on her and the Batman Who Laughs. Greg Capullo and Scott Snyder�s run together is legendary. Death Metal was the highly anticipated sequel to Dark Nights: Metal and follow up to Scott�s Justice League run. It was a fun, crazy story that I�m glad to win a page from. Greg�s detailed close up of Lex�s face fully captures his injured side while still showing his burning desire for revenge on his good side. Glapion�s inks really bring the whole piece together and captures the dark place Lex is coming out of. Plus it�s always fun to own a last page/cliff hanger page.

I don't see this as a cliffhanger at all, this is only the start of a revenge tour for Luthor with such a dramatic turn. You know that as long as his mind and ego is intact, Luthor will have his ultimate revenge. Capullo and Glapion forces our attention to the face and they get into every nook and cranny to make us understand he's anything but happy.
