I�ve been looking for an all pencils piece by Nick for awhile and this piece really resonated with me. I love the energy of his pencils and the life his rendering brings to the characters.

It's so delicately and finely rendered in areas where our focus is most sharp to bring out the volume from the reflections of light! The further up, the more bend to the buildings and the looser the pencils get just like how we see in real life.

A storybook setting - and I mean that in the -best- possible way. This piece is a visual Fable, with buildings impossibly stacked one by the other to show the viewer the domain of the Batman, and all that he (and his family) protects. They're leaning in to embrace him and warmly inviting us to get lost in their labyrinthine nooks and crannies, assuring us of our safety - thanks to HIM. Spectacular image, B! Nick knocked it out of the park once again! Huge congrats!
