Description

I was very fortunate in 2022 to receive some great work towards my X-Men Cover Recreations.

Closing out a strong 2022 class is the classic Uncanny X-Men #210, recreated expertly by Chris Mooneyham.

Applying his style, he brings forth all of the emotion of the original as dawn arrives on the Marvel Mutant Massacre, exhibiting strong detailing of characters, corner box, and trade dress.

Thrilled with how this one turned out. A real showpiece.

The cool kids at the Xavier School that you see in the halls! The scrappy tough guy who carries a switchblade, the big jock, the mod foreign exchange student from Germany, Mohawk punk girl who always gets good grades, the cheerleader who doesn't like to be touched, and the girl everyone overlooks like she's a ghost. Meanwhile, I'm sitting at the Morlock's table with Artie.

This is exceptional. Mooneyham really added a crust of grittiness to Jr Jr’s usual layer.
