Description

Swamp Thing #32 (1984) was a great issue from Alan Moore’s epic run. Beautiful, whimsical, and heartbreaking, “Pog” journeyed in horrors pedestrian and profound as it unveiled, through alien eyes, how humans have spoiled their planet. Shawn McManus’ clean, cartoony artwork perfectly complemented Moore’s dense, cerebral word-play. In an alternate universe this stunning piece is the cover to that unforgettable story and I’m happy to be its steward.

Created for the Hero Initiative Auction at Baltimore Comic-Con 2022.

Great full on tribute to the issue itself that McManus did and Walt Kelly's Pogo that inspired it.

ST #32 was a personal favorite. Absolutely love this! Just a phenomenal job by Shawn!

This was a great issue, Sean did do an amazing job on this book. I believe this cover though, is meant to be what Sean would have drawn if he did the cover to this issue. Which he did not. This is really an amazing piece and would have loved to seen this on the racks all the way back in the '80s
