DescriptionI recently got this cool Avengelyne #2 cover from 1997, which was a parody of the Demi Moore Vanity Faire pregnancy cover! This is the only cover art that exists for this one as it was colored by airbrush over copies of the pencils, so it was never inked and there is no b&w line art. So its a rare published cover by Rob Liefeld from the '90s that is just finished pencils. Picked this up on his Friday night Whatnot show last week, and it was in my hands by Wednesday, so it came quickly. 🙂 I highly recommend checking out Rob's Whatnot show if you have interest in getting art, signed comics, signed and/or sketched Funko Pops and more. He's pretty entertaining live lol.This was an "immaculate conception" storyline that had Avengelyne pregnant, so Rob said he was inspired to draw this parody. Fond memories of Avengelyne as they actually brought out Cathy Christian dressed up to take polaroid pictures with people at conventions during the 90's. Unforgettable as far as comic book promotions went. It showed Rob and company were thinking out of the box when it came to their comics. Same goes for covers like this that aimed to make comics greater and more appealing to a wider audience!
