Description

SPEED MCGEE (Flash villain) by Greg Larocque and Keith Wilson,
from WHO'S WHO UPDATE 1988 #3.

This is the published version, inked on vellum when the original
version (inked by Brett Breeding) went missing.

I Just bought it from the wonderful artist, Keith Wilson,
who'd been able to locate it and allowed me to have it as a nice
companion to the other version.

It'd be interesting to see both versions side by side.

Both pieces look beautiful and IMO quite similar.
Makes me think that either the pencils were extremely tight or
the published version was inked over a photocopy of Brett Breeding's
inked version.

In any case, I'm grateful for the opportunity to own both.

Original versions for these tend to have the main figure on board and then the background on vellum overlay so it doesn't present as well as a fully inked piece like we see here. Speed McGee got dope powers!

Great score, Gal! LaRocque did some of his finest work on the Flash. Speed Demon was a great villian. Nice companion piece to your unpublished one. Congrats!
