11.25x17" artboard w/pen and ink original art for cover to Brave And The Bold #179, published by DC Comics in Oct. 1981. Art is by Ross Andru and was inked by Dick Giordano and shows Batman swinging in to assist the male members (Cosmic Boy, Sun Boy and Colossal Boy) of the Legion of Super-Heroes, who attempt to rescue their female teammates (Shadow Lass, Shrinking Violet and Duo Damsel) from Anton Halkor. Inked title abbreviation, issue number and month of publication at top margin. Word balloons along w/publishing indicia at top and long w/"Batman" and "Legion Of Super-Heroes" title logos are pasted stats as is "Superman II" advertising block at bottom right. Margins have some scattered notations and dust soiling w/single pin hole at top/bottom center margins. Back has DC copyright inkstamp and some blue marker scribbling. Art remains clean and VF.
