DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!10x13.75" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for Iron Man Vol. 2 #11, which reprints Iron Man story from issues #9. Published in Spain c. 1975 Mundi. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/white title bar at top and art showing an original composition based on art from the US issue cover #9 by George Tuska and Johnny Craig featuring Hulk versus Iron Man. Lt. aging/handling wear. Art remains bright and clean. Displays VF. A wonderful example from the era when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish comic books, featuring one of Marvel's popular characters and is unsigned by artist. Superb and dynamic cover art. Comes w/reading copy of the Spanish comic this cover art was created for which also contains Captain Marvel backup story and horror shorts. Social/Sharing |
