Description

Red Moon creator Dave McAdoo is a great friend and one of my favorite artists. In addition to the many comic based commissions he has drawn or painted for me, he has created six pieces featuring my dogs.

In this piece, he has painted my youngest dog Bertie as the favorite wrestler of my childhood, Mr. Wrestling No. 2(Johnny Walker) in the coat and tie he wore at his Hall of Fame induction. Mr. Wrestling No. 2 was also the favorite wrestler of Jimmy Carter. Bertie has Mr. Wrestling No. 2�s mask in his mouth and his NWA Georgia Heavyweight Championship belt (won 12 times by the man, not my dog) at his side.

Other props include Cody Rhodes� boots (worn at the pre-AEW ppv, All In), Chris Jericho�s Painmaker hat, and a globe, our beloved Teddy�s last toy, with which Bertie still plays today.

I am very happy with this piece. As always, Dave has perfectly captured Bertie.

What a cute painting. We sadly lost our cat last year due to age. Weirdly enough all our extended family and friends also lost their pets at about the same time. Luckily my brother recently just picked up a puppy. I get daily pictures now, which brings a smile to my day. Thus, I am sure a piece like this would be priceless. So cute.
