Description

"A Jeep Called Joey!" by Bob Kanigher.

Doug Wildey was the creator of Hanna-Barbera's adventure cartoon Jonny Quest, which ran on prime time TV in 1964-65. Wildey breathed new life into cartoon animation and stories with suspenseful, moody art and science fiction, Cold War stories, accompanied by an energetic soundtrack.

DC changed the title of this series in 1977 from Our Army at War (#301, February 1977) to Sgt. Rock (#302, March 1977).

One of the greats.   Doug Wildey was a versatile artist.   There wasn't anything he couldn't draw and draw it well.  This is beautifully done from pencils to inks.   Congrats.

Everything on that pages feels real and grounded. Wildey was a fantastic artist.

Just so beautiful with the two settings shown on this page by Wildey.  The warmth in how the mechanic speaks about his father translates into a softer artistic touch in that flashback.
