Description

Mr. Lisa Goes To Washington could be my favorite Simpsons episode ever. I watched it recently via Disney+ and the comedy holds up pretty well (do people still subscribe to Reader’s Digest 😂).

I saw this piece on Anthony’s site then attempted to find the ad by buying an issue of TV Guide from the week of release, as I couldn’t find an image of the published piece anywhere. The September 1991 copy arrived…and there it was (view it in the additional images).

Anthony and I came to a deal for multiple Morrison drawings and it arrived shortly after. It’s a little bigger than 11” by 17” and drawn in blue pencil on vellum paper with a signature underneath. Love owning a piece of this episode and it predates Bill’s work on Bongo Comics!

Very nice vintage as Simpsons mania was all over the place in the early 90's. The early seasons were history making and had a further reach into pop culture than we remember.
